Tub tile work

Daryl was out today to do the tile work on the whirlpool tub, he got most of it finished and plans to return tomorrow to finish it up. We are hoping he gets it all done tomorrow as we have inspection tomorrow and this has to be done to get our occupancy permit. It looks awesome, I really like the design we chose, it blends so nicely in the bathroom.

Bill also got the front deck rails finished, and the step on the back deck, as well as all of the outlets in the basement finished. Tomorrow he needs to finish dryer vent, install pendant lights and dining room light and drywall the attic access (a code requirement we were unaware of).

Whirlpool tile work

The tile guy was out to measure the tile yesterday and is planning to return today to tile around the whirlpool tub in our master bathroom. I am very excited to see this completed. After he is finished with this, we just need him to tile the backsplash in the kitchen and fix a broken tile.

Granite installed

Our countertops were installed today, they look great. I am so glad we decided to go with granite over corian. We have a preliminary inspection tomorrow, if all goes well we plan to start moving in Friday night. It has been a long road but we are finally almost finished with it all.

Plumbing & Cleaning Almost Finished

This weekend was very productive, Bill was able to get the plumbing all finished up. My dad helped on Sunday, they got the master bathroom whirlpool tub hooked up. The only plumbing remaining at this point is the kitchen sink, and he has to wait for the granite to be installed to finish that up. Bill's mom came over to help me clean, we got Hannah and Elijah's rooms swept and mopped, the living room, dining room, master bedroom all swept, mopped, and windows cleaned. I was so greatful for her help. I finished cleaning the kitchen today, we are ready for the countertop now.

Bamboo Hardwood Completed

Today Dad, Bill, and I worked on laying the bamboo hardwood floor in the living room. Hannah was her Daddy's assistant as she handed him nails. It was so cute. It took all day, 13 hours to be exact but we got it done.

Our bedroom and closet flooring installed

We worked beginning Friday night and finished up Sunday morning with our bedroom floor. It looks great, and we are both so glad it is done. I can't wait to see our bedroom furniture in the room with the ceiling fan, I think I got a perfect match. I threw in some pics of the master bathroom for fun, we still have the mirrows to install, vanity lights, shower door and toilet, as well as the tile around the tub, but it is coming along nicely as well.

Kids Maple Pergo Flooring Complete & Countertop install date provided

Bill and I worked really hard this weekend and were able to get the flooring for the kids room laid. It looks great, I love the maple laminate. Looks like real wood, it looks great. We also hung the ceiling fans in the kids rooms, our bedroom, and hung the closet lights, as well as, the fan lights in the bathroom. We still have a lot of lighting to do, but are certainly putting a dent in it now.

Our countertops should be installed by 1/22/2008, we were hoping for an earlier date but as of now, that is the date the innovative stone has supplied us with.
