Despite the rain, we were able to get the garage completely shingled between the two days last weekend. Dad, Mike, and Bill worked pretty hard all weekend to get it done. Fortunately the weather was cool, but unfortunately the rain could not hold out until Monday. We tried to get more done through the week, but the rain prevented us from getting much done.
Dad, Bill, Elijah, and David worked hard on Sat, 8/27 to get the shingles on. It was extemely hot with a heat advisory so the guys made a tarp to help shield the sun from them, it was so hot the shingles were sticking together. Dad worked a half day on Sat so he could come help too. We were so appreciative for all of the help we got, we could not have done this without the help. Thanks so much guys. By the end of the weekend the roof was completely shingled. We still have to do the roof cap but the house is in the dry now.

Thanks, we are really excited and scared to death at the same time. This is a big step for us, but we are ready for it.
