Foundation Specs

Tonight my hubby is meeting with the owner of Nyce concrete to work out the foundation specs for our house. We are being told that they can pour the foundation as early as 3 weeks from now, possibly earlier if they have a cancelization. We are praying for a cancelization since our escavator can be onsite this weekend. Since we are local to the business we are thinking that if they do have a cancelization we may be picked first since they would not have to travel too far. We have to have the escavation, foundation, septic, and well in before the first draw will be released. Then the second draw is for the framing portion. We are both excited to start to see our plans in action.

We handed in our kitchen plan to Armstrong for an estimate. I am hoping since my brother does a lot of work for them that they will give us a good price. Bill is confident that they have the best cabinets for the money in our area.

Within the next couple of weeks we need to talk to pella about windows. We need to get our windows ordered before the framing begins, since windows typically take two weeks to come in from date of order.

Tonight Bill is going to talk to the post office to make sure our mailbox is good to go to start receiving some mail. We are going to slowing have some stuff go there, while keeping our PO Box too. We had heard that if we canceled our PO Box that our current homeowners insurance could be affected and we could have trouble getting our current home insured if our address is not there. So we will keep our PO Box until we move but it would be nice to start getting some mail at our new home address.
