Foundation footers going in today!

We broke ground on Saturday, July 7th, 2007 (7/7/07). Our drive way was put in, the land was cleared, and the house hole dug. The excavator returned on Sunday to finish house hole, and lay shale on the driveway. The excavating went well, ground was pretty soft until near the end, where the foundation is going to go is solid rock. We are happy about that, as it will be really good for the foundation. Our footers are being poured today and our foundation walls should be done by tomorrow. Everything is going really fast so far, we are excited to see the progress being made already. The house hole seems so small, but I am being told that it always seems small until the house is built in it. I am really wondering if we are going to have enough room. LOL :) My brother, Dad, Bill, and Gale all informed me that it always appears smaller before the house is complete. I took lots of pictures, I will post them up when I get some time.

Both Hannah and Elijah think the big hole is pretty cool. Hannah liked the big CAT tractor too. The kids are excited to live on the land, as both Bill and I are too.

Our walls are being poured today. Yeah we have to do camping soon. Things have been so hectic on our end, with not a lot of time for much other than our current house and new house. It will be great once we get our old house on the market and move into our new house. We are hoping to be in our new house by November.
