No tax rollback

I talked to the tax assessment office today and we will not have a tax rollback, our land will remain in clean and green as long as we have the connecting parcel deed corrected to my married name with Bill added. This is great news for us, so I contacted Members 1st settlement services to see if they could do a corrected deed for us and how much it would cost. I am told it would be $75.00 fee for them and $38.50 fee for the county recording fees. Ok I can handle that, nothing too bad.

As for the house, we have to have the excavator come back out and clear some trees for PP&L or we will have to pay them $1300.00 to have the electric installed. Excavator can be out early next week and framers are planning to start framing next Wednesday, August 1st, 2007.

Bill and I went to look at the kitchen cabinets and to make a few changes to our current layout during lunch today. We decided to go with a different color cabinet all together, we really liked the coffee instead of the toffee. I asked for a price quote for cabinets above my washer and dryer too. If it is not too much money we will likely do this, it will be nice to have a place to hide away the laundry detergents and cleaning supplies for the house.

On the current homefront, we are making major progress, we have all of the drywall hung and two coats on it, the final coat will need to go on and the sanding can begin as early as tomorrow. We pressure washed our back deck, and the house. Bill is planning to fix the front porch tomorrow and lay the outdoor carpet. I am sure this will be really nice.

I need to pack a lot more stuff up, so tonight I plan to spend a good bit of time packing away more stuff from our kitchen. We are making progress, slowly but surely.
